Yewww hows it all going? Just giving a run down on how the comp went up in Darwin. Myself and fellow Way South Militant Kade Imlach competed flying the flag for Tas. Also competing was "twisting" Timmy Jackson, Matt Leaopard, Kyl Chin and another local called Kai.
The comp was fully ran under lights, which was good because I wasnt use to 35 degree heat during the day compared to Tas weather. Kade and I were both fairly confident on taking top two but due to a big crash in practice I was unable to compete. I locked a brake on the up ramp and came up a bit short, got spat over the bars and she was all over, damaging my heels , hip and back........ So it ment sit back and watch the boys ride.
In the qaulifing, Kade torn it up and qaulified easy first with big shaolins and seat grabs. Kyl chin after flipping 35 in practice popped his shoulder out on a no hander so his comp was over as well. The youngest rider "door matt" rode well and placed top 3 and the other boys rode good also.
After watching some really good bar to bar racing on the race track it was comp time again the next night. Timmy was first up and landed a sweet flip and ranout a nac flip. Kai was out next and had some good tricks like little nfc to heelclicker. "door matt" on a borrow crf 50 came out and rode so well for a guy without big tricks. He didnt pull the biggest tricks but he did the tricks smooth and fully extended which scored him self 2nd place. Kade came out and showed everyone he wasnt going home with anything less than first. His run was so smooth, fully extended and full of technical tricks. His seat grab that was getting close to heart attack, big seat grab indys and clicker to one hander combos were just some of the tricks.
Well that`s it WSM rider Kade Imlach takes first place at a national comp, proving that Tassies FMX and Mini FMX riders are amongst the best in Australia so watch out for results for the rest of this years comps. Well getting ready for King of the Coast........... hopefully stay on my bike this time ay!
Special thanks to Loose Kid, Bossen, Way South Militants and Moto Central
Peace out, Noel Kaine
Launceston show 2008
What can I say ha the wind was gusting over 35kph on the 1st day so we moved the ramps in to 50 for a play, the 1st hit of the day was Joel Cresswell over jumping and braking his left ankle! “Heal up soon bro” Most of the crew wasn’t feeling it in poor condition & a sketchy downy but then Brill started to tare it up with holly rocks & no handed superman’s regardless of the wind, until he got gusted sideways landed crossed up tweaking his angle. Day 2 saw even more wind but we got one ramp back to 60 were the woolley bro’s started to get into a grove with Brilly as MC with his sprained angle. At 7pm we did a night show the wind dropped finally for the boi’s so they cut loose with the works even the new members Billy Marh, Flanny, Deano, Duffy, Webba & Tungsy were rip’n with sick trains! Day 3 saw more wind yet again even with a huge crowd it was hard to get any extension, Ben Brown got the crowd pumped with his bmx backflip attempts until he stuck his 1st Yeah boi well done! Was a sick show all in all other than the dam wind, We would like to thank Motocentral, Red Bull, Vernarchie Contracting & Stronac Timber for there support!
We rolled into to the state capital “Hobart” at 7am after a 2hr drive from Launceston to be greeted by a snow covered mountain, rain, wind & a 3 Degree temperature Sh*t ha our 1st show at 10 we where rained out come lunch time we were still rugged up in 2 hoodies as we hit it up for the school kids!! We did 14 shows all up inc one night show witch was sick huge pumped up crowd! Over 46,000 people check out the show over 4 action packed days and I have to say
